Three. Brief introduction of laboratory basic situation
The predecessor of Horticultural Laboratory is the combination of fruit tree cultivation laboratory, fruit tree breeding laboratory, vegetable cultivation laboratory and horticultural plant specimen exhibition room established by 1972 and 200 1. After years of construction and development, with the unremitting efforts of teachers, the laboratory has reached a certain scale. At present, an academic echelon with reasonable structure and complete personnel has been formed. Horticultural laboratory is mainly used for teaching, experiment and scientific research of undergraduates, junior college students and graduate students majoring in fruit trees and vegetables in Horticultural College. According to the statistics of the 2007-08 academic year, there are 356 undergraduates majoring in horticulture, 0/2 postgraduates majoring in fruits and vegetables, and 465 students majoring in modern horticulture technology. Horticultural laboratory is not only open to students majoring in horticulture mentioned above, but also open to teachers and students of related majors.

Horticultural laboratory undertakes experimental teaching tasks such as horticultural plant cultivation, horticultural plant breeding, genetics, field experiment and statistics, horticultural plant tissue culture, famous vegetable cultivation, horticultural commodities, general gardening, protected gardening, soilless cultivation and edible fungi cultivation.
