How to judge whether it is heart failure? What is the standard?

According to China's guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of heart failure, left ventricular ejection fraction (LEVF) is an important index to judge the degree of heart failure and classify patients with heart failure. The decrease of LVEF indicates the decrease of cardiac function, and in severe cases, cardiac arrest may occur, leading to sudden death.

At the same time, routine laboratory examination, BNP, two-dimensional echocardiography level Doppler ultrasound, electrocardiogram and so on are also routine examination items that every heart failure patient should do. In the early stage of heart failure, the heart has strong compensatory ability and may have no symptoms. Symptoms such as fatigue, shortness of breath, chest tightness and edema of lower limbs appear in the late stage of heart failure, and the condition is already serious. Therefore, early detection and early treatment is the key to treat heart failure.

At present, the treatment methods of heart failure include drug therapy and non-drug therapy. Drug therapy can improve the symptoms of some patients and reduce the morbidity and mortality to some extent. If the left and right ventricles are not synchronized, CRT (cardiac resynchronization therapy) should be accepted according to the doctor's advice. CRT helps the left and right ventricles of the heart to contract synchronously through biventricular pacing, which can significantly increase the cardiac output, improve the cardiac function, and gradually restore the heart to normal size. A large number of evidence-based medical evidence shows that CRT can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with chronic heart failure complicated with cardiac asynchrony, and reduce the hospitalization rate and mortality rate of heart failure.
