Why don't Western doctors take pulse?
Taking pulse is a characteristic of Chinese medicine, a characteristic of Chinese medicine to diagnose diseases, a diagnostic method inherited from the theory and practice of Chinese medicine. If, however, Western doctors also take the pulse, Western medicine will become Chinese medicine. Pulse-taking is only one part of the diagnostic aspect of the TCM system. The diagnostic principles of Western medicine are different. It is a different theoretical system that leads to a completely different diagnostic method. If Western medicine also take the pulse, is the combination of Chinese and Western medicine.
