What is the job outlook for the sports rehabilitation program?

As a current undergraduate student of Rehabilitation Therapy in the class of 2018 at Nanjing Medical University (NMU), this question couldn't be more appropriate for me. Although enrolled for only one year, I already have a certain understanding of the current state of the profession's origins, a certain grasp of its development prospects, and a certain plan for my future employment.

First of all, strongly targeted definitely does not mean a narrow range of employment.

Rehabilitation-related professions are actually sunrise professions. On the one hand, there are so many sporting events nowadays that the chances of athletes getting injured have greatly increased; on the other hand, the aging phenomenon in Chinese society, coupled with the improvement of people's quality of life, will certainly require a large number of professional rehabilitation personnel to participate in the process. This is a opportunity and a challenge that requires everyone to use their real talent and their imagination to find the career that best suits them. The traditional ones such as sporting teams, pediatric rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, and rehabilitation for the disabled, and the emerging ones such as dance rehabilitation and music rehabilitation.

The last time the college organized a visit to the Rehabilitation Hall of Shaw Hospital, I was impressed by a senior who was engaged in Music Rehabilitation Therapy (Music Rehabilitation belongs to the OT occupational therapy, Occupational Therapy). His office was decorated in an artistic and fresh way, and he gave us a live performance with his guitar, as if he was in a café instead of a hospital. He made me break the stereotype of rehabilitation, which is not always boring, but can be fun.

Whether or not your job prospects are narrow depends not on the specialty itself, but on your eyesight, pattern, business skills, and creative spirit.

Thanks for reading and I hope this helps you with your query.
