I. Preparation before starting. Each time before starting must check whether the diesel engine tank cooling water or antifreeze to meet, such as the lack of full. Pull out the oil dipstick to see whether the lubricant is missing, such as the lack of to add to the provisions of the "static full" scale line, and then carefully check the relevant parts have no hidden trouble, such as the discovery of faults to be promptly eliminated before starting.

Two, it is strictly prohibited to start the diesel engine with load. Diesel engine before starting to note that the generator output air switch must be in the closed state. Ordinary generator set diesel engine start after 3-5 minutes of idling (700 rpm or so) winter temperatures are low, idling time should be appropriate to extend a few minutes. After starting the diesel engine should first observe whether the oil pressure is normal and there is no oil leakage, water leakage and other abnormal phenomena, (under normal circumstances, the oil pressure must be more than 0.2MPa) such as found abnormalities should be immediately shut down for maintenance. If there is no abnormality will diesel engine speed to the rated speed of 1500 rpm, at this time the generator display frequency 50HZ, voltage 400V, you can close the output air switch into use. Generator sets are not allowed to run unloaded for a long time. (Because prolonged no-load operation will make the diesel engine injector nozzle sprayed diesel fuel can not be completely burned resulting in carbon deposits, resulting in valve, piston ring leakage.) If it is an automated generator set, there is no need to idle running, because automated units are generally equipped with water heaters, so that the diesel engine cylinder is always maintained at about 45Co, the diesel engine can be started within 8-15 seconds after the normal power supply.

Three, pay attention to observe the working condition in operation. Generator set in the work, there should be a person on duty, often pay attention to observe a series of possible failures, especially pay attention to oil pressure, water temperature, oil temperature, voltage, frequency and other important factors. Also pay attention to have enough diesel fuel, such as fuel interruption in operation, objectively caused by the load stop, may lead to generator excitation control system and related components damage.

Four, forbidden to stop with load. Before each shutdown, you must first gradually cut off the load, and then turn off the generator set output air switch, and finally decelerate the diesel engine to idle state running about 3-5 minutes before shutting down.
