It has been He Shanheng's idea for decades that he should not forget his roots. As early as 1937, when he had a little more money, he funded the construction of his hometown Priced Primary School, for the hometown schoolchildren to provide free education, has been insisting on the "Cultural Revolution" period before being forced to interrupt; "Cultural Revolution" once the end of his immediate remittance of HK$290,000 to rebuild the school. Since the 1980s, he has donated a large number of vehicles and sewing machines to his hometown to support the development of production in his hometown. 1984 donated 1.5 million yuan to build kindergartens, homes for the elderly and cultural rooms in his hometown, and then contributed 660,000 yuan to convert all the premises of the Priced Primary School into a concrete structure, and another 2.7 million yuan for the construction of the wind and rain stadiums; and he also donated a number of properties in Guangzhou, and the rents were used as an education fund for the permanent use of the school. While caring for the construction of his hometown, Mr. Ho did not forget the cultivation of talents and the welfare of his motherland. 1985, he donated 20 million Hong Kong dollars to set up the Ho Foundation of Sun Yat-sen University, which subsidized the teaching, scientific research, and faculty training of the School of Management of the University with an interest of 1 million Hong Kong dollars per year. He also built a teaching building and a faculty dormitory for the School and purchased a large number of advanced equipment, making it a sizable school that has trained a large number of talents for the construction of the motherland.
In addition, in 1992, he donated 15 million Hong Kong dollars to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College to build the "He Shanheng Brain Center"; in the same year, he donated 10 million Hong Kong dollars to the Panyu Polytechnic Institute to build a teaching building, 20 million Hong Kong dollars to the Zhongshan University of Medical Science and Technology to build a teaching laboratory building; in 1994, he donated 15 million Hong Kong dollars to the Guangzhou Haizhu Medical Center to build a teaching building, and in 1994, he donated 15 million Hong Kong dollars to the Guangzhou Haizhu Medical Center to build a teaching building. In 1996, the Ho Sin Hang Foundation donated HK$10 million to sponsor the construction of the Shanheng Building (the first teaching building of Guangdong Pui Ching College) of Guangdong Pui Ching College; in 2003, the Ho Sin Hang Foundation donated again to Guangdong Pui Ching College to build a library (Shanheng Library) with an area of 9,126 square meters and a European architectural style. In July 1993, the Guangzhou Municipal Government nominated and the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Congress decided to award Mr. Ho Sin Hang the title of "Honorary Citizen of Guangzhou". Mr. Ho was awarded MBE, Honorary Doctorate of Social Sciences and Honorary Doctorate of Laws of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Honorary Consultant of Sun Yat-sen University, OBE and CBE, Order of the White Elephant of Thailand, Order of the Ripple of Japan, and other honorary titles, and he was conferred Honorary Citizenship by the City of Panyu and the Municipality of Guangzhou in 1990 and 1993, respectively.
