The family planning rate reached over 99%, and the sex ratio at birth was 106.5.
Employment
There were 1,002,000 people working in urban units, an increase of 0.02% over the previous year. There were 953,000 employees on the job, a decrease of 0.3% from the previous year. Among them, the state-owned economic units 563,000, an increase of 0.8 million; collective economic units 68,000, a decrease of 0.5 million; other economic units 322,000, a decrease of 0.6 million. In terms of the industrial composition of on-the-job workers, there were 0.7 million in the primary industry, the same as the previous year; 372,000 in the secondary industry, a decrease of 5.6%; and 574,000 in the tertiary industry, an increase of 3.4%.
