Permanent magnet stepping motor (PM), is a magnetic rotor core that rotates by interacting with a pulsed electromagnetic field generated by the stator. PM stepper motors are generally two-phase, with smaller torque and size, and a stepping angle of generally 7.5 degrees or 15 degrees. There are two parts in the motor, the rotor and the stator: either the stator is the coil and the rotor is the permanent magnet, or the stator is the permanent magnet and the rotor is the coil.
