This program is designed to cultivate broad-mouth senior engineering technicians who are able to master the professional knowledge of electrical engineering and electronics, automatic control principles, information processing, computer testing and control, industrial network, power electronics, automatic control of power transmission, power supply and distribution system, new power supply, and can be engaged in the design of hardware and software of systems and devices related to electrical engineering, research and development, operation and maintenance, as well as economic and technological management. Specialty Characteristics
The cultivation process of this specialty embodies the combination of strong power and weak power, power and electronic technology, information technology and electrical engineering technology. The program has a postdoctoral station of control science and engineering, two doctoral degree-granting rights of control theory and control engineering, pattern recognition and intelligent systems, and five master's degree-granting rights of power electronics and power transmission, detection and automation devices, pattern recognition and intelligent systems, control theory and control engineering, and systems engineering. The program focuses on the cultivation of students' practical ability and comprehensive quality, as well as the cultivation of students' comprehensive system design ability. In recent years, students of this major have won the special prize and the first prize of International Mathematical Modeling Competition, the first and second prizes of National Mathematical Modeling Competition, National Electronic Design Competition for College Students, National Embedded System Design Competition and other major competitions, and the prizes of ACM Programming Competition in international and Asian competitions, and they have been selected as the finalists of ACM Programming Competition and achieved excellent results.
