Processing matching: POE does not need mixing and vulcanization. Can be processed and formed by common thermoplastic processing equipment. Generally, the molding temperature and pressure are slightly higher, and it can be processed at a very high processing speed. It can be injection molding, extrusion molding, calendering into plates or films, blow molding, and products with complex shapes can be manufactured through thermoforming. Various pigments can be added as needed to make different colors. Some manufacturers provide various grades of special components such as oil resistance, flame retardant, electrical stability and electrostatic coating according to the use requirements of products. Sometimes, in order to improve the processability and usability of some products or reduce the cost, some additives, such as antioxidants, softeners, fillers and colorants, can be added. Waste materials and wastes can be recycled. However, the doping ratio is generally less than 30%, which has no effect on the performance. Influence of POE on * * * Hybrid System
POE is a thermoplastic elastomer which uses metallocene catalyst to realize in-situ polymerization of ethylene and octene. It is characterized by (1) octene's soft chain curl structure and crystalline ethylene chain as physical cross-linking points, which makes it have excellent toughness and good processability. (2) There is no unsaturated double bond in the molecular structure of Poe, which has excellent aging resistance. (3)POE has narrow molecular weight distribution, good fluidity and good compatibility with polyolefin. (4) Good fluidity can improve the dispersion effect of filler, and at the same time, it can also improve the weld line strength of products.
With the increase of POE content, the impact strength and elongation at break of the system have been greatly improved. It can be seen that POE has excellent toughening effect on PP and good compatibility with PP and activated calcium carbonate. This is because the molecular weight distribution of POE is narrow, and the side octyl group in the molecular structure is longer than the side ethyl group, which can form connection points in the molecular structure and play the role of connecting and buffering components, so that the system can disperse and buffer the impact energy when it is impacted, reduce the chance of cracking and developing into cracks due to stress, and thus improve the impact strength of the system. When the system is in tension, the network structure formed by these connection points can be greatly deformed, so the elongation at break of the system is significantly increased. When the content of POE increases, the tensile strength, bending strength and bending modulus of the system decrease, which is determined by the performance of POE itself, so the content of POE should be controlled below 20%.
The relationship between POE content and melt index, after adding POE, the melt index of the system increased. POE itself has good fluidity, and its addition also improves the fluidity of the whole system. When the POE content exceeds 15 phr, the melt index of the system basically does not change. If we want to continue to improve the liquidity of the system, we can't rely entirely on POE.
Basic characteristics: (1)POE has the general physical properties of thermoplastic elastomer, such as moldability, waste recycling, vulcanizate properties, etc. (2) The price is low and the relative density is small, so the quantity and price are low. (3) Excellent heat resistance and cold resistance, and wide application range. (4) Good weather resistance and aging resistance. (5) Oil resistance, compression set resistance and wear resistance are not very good. Uses: It is mainly used to modify and toughen PP, PE and PA in automobile industry, and made into bumpers, fenders, steering wheels, foot pads, etc. Insulation layer and sheath with high requirements for heat resistance and environmental resistance in wire and cable industry. It is also used in industrial products, such as rubber hoses, conveyor belts, adhesive tapes and molded products. Medical instruments and household appliances, cultural and sports supplies, toys, etc. And packaging film and so on.
