Zhongshan University forensic identification center is subordinate to Zhongshan University. Our university is one of the earliest colleges and universities in China to enroll undergraduates majoring in forensic science, and also one of the first units approved by the Ministry of Education to have the right to confer master's degrees and doctoral degrees in forensic science, and one of the cradles of China's contemporary forensic science education.The forensic identification group was established in 1953, with a long history of identification.The forensic identification center was first set up in the country in 1998, and was designated by the Guangdong Provincial Government as the only forensic science professional in 2000. In 1998, the first in the country to set up a forensic identification center, 2000 by the Guangdong Provincial Government designated as the only professional forensic medicine review appraisal institutions, in 2002 by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Justice approved for the appraisal of social judicial services. 2008 July center through the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) laboratory and inspection agency accreditation on-site review, to become the country's first dual-accreditation of the medical colleges and universities forensic institutions, but also Guangdong Province, the first to obtain the dual-accreditation of the social forensic institutions.
