After the wings were installed, she had to take antibiotics every day in order to prevent being infected, and even though she was well taken care of, a month after the implantation of the wings, her wings got infected because of rust that caused her body to be infected, and finally she had to remove the wings through surgery, and the removal of the wings made her feel relieved like never before. Since then, there have been some rich Americans who have had wings implanted in their backs, but a lot of them were not as lucky as she was to have their wings removed before they became infected, and some of them had their entire backs rotting because of the infection and the wings on their bodies couldn't be removed.
As we can see, if we want a pair of wings, it's an impossibility unless we can turn into another species, and as we can see from Alcee, even if she manages to put a pair of wings on herself, she still can't fly, and at most, it's just one more decoration. The evolution of every living creature itself follows the laws of nature, and although we humans are the most intelligent animals, we cannot change the laws of nature.
