The Provisions on the Handling of Issues of Transfer of Higher Education Students to Other Majors, Transfer of Studies, Suspension, Reinstatement, and Withdrawal of Students from Higher Education Institutions
I. Individual students of higher education institutions may be transferred to other majors of the institution to continue their studies in one of the following circumstances; those who are not suitable to be transferred to other majors of the institution, but who can continue their studies in appropriate majors of other higher education institutions, may be transferred to other majors of the institution to continue their studies in the same way. Those who are not suitable for transfer to other majors of the university but can still continue their studies in other institutions of higher education may be transferred to other schools.
(1) If there is some kind of disease or physiological defect, and it is proved by the medical unit designated by the school that the student cannot study in the original major or the majors of the original school, but he/she can still continue his/her study in other majors or appropriate majors in other schools of higher education,
(2) If the school thinks that the student is not suitable for studying in the current major, and that the student's strengths can be better utilized by transferring him/her to other majors in the original school or other majors in other schools.
(3) If the student or his/her family has special difficulties and he/she has to change his/her study area, otherwise he/she cannot continue his/her study.
The transfer of a student to another major or to another course of study shall be reviewed and approved by the university. For those who request to major in Han or transfer to another school for reasons such as a general emphasis on incompatibility of interests, consent should not be given. Nor should consent be given to those who request a transfer due to caring for a loved one (whether married or unmarried).
