What is the function of lidar?

Laser Doppler frequency shift radar: using the principle of Doppler effect, the frequency shift is measured with a frequency meter to achieve the purpose of measurement. Because the laser wavelength is extremely short, when the target moves relative to the radar, the frequency shift phenomenon will be particularly obvious, so the movement of the target can be accurately measured.

Laser altimeter: used to measure the height of the ground or sea from the air.

Satellite lidar: used for ranging and tracking satellites.

Laser weather radar: used to measure cloud orientation, clear sky turbulence, meteor dust, etc.

Raman lidar: used to measure air pollution and various substances in the atmosphere.

Obstacle avoidance radar: It can detect various terrain obstacles such as mountain peaks.
