Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Healthcare Hospital was founded in February 1947, which is one of the earliest provincial and municipal maternity and child healthcare hospitals in China. 1992, it passed the evaluation of the first batch of baby-friendly hospitals in China, and 1995, it was rated as the third grade A hospital. 2006, it became the First Maternity and Infant Healthcare Hospital affiliated with Tongji University. The hospital is a civilized unit in Shanghai and a designated unit for cadre health care in Shanghai .
