Thomas Alva Edison (February 11, 1847 - October 18, 1931) was born in Milan Township, Ohio, USA and died in West Orange, New Jersey, USA. Inventor and entrepreneur. ,
Edison was the first person in the history of mankind to have a profound impact on the world by utilizing the principle of mass production and the laboratory of electrical engineering research to carry out patents for inventions engaged in. His inventions of the phonograph, the movie camera, and the electric light had a tremendous impact on the world. In his lifetime, he made more than 2,000 inventions*** and held more than 1,000 patents. Edison was named No. 9 of the 100 People Who Influenced America by The Atlantic Monthly, a leading U.S. periodical.
At 3:24 a.m. on October 18, 1931, at his home in West Orange, New Jersey, Edison passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 84 years.

Major Achievements
1. Gramophone
In 1877, Edison found that the membrane plate in the telephone transmitter would vibrate with the sound of speech, and then he experimented with a short pin, which gave him great inspiration. Speak fast or slow, high or low can make the short needle to produce the corresponding different vibration. Then, in turn, this tremor must be able to send out the original speaking voice, so he began to study the problem of sound reissue.
In December, Edison publicly demonstrated the "tin-foil cylinder phonograph," which became a worldwide sensation.
2. Electric light
The inventor of the electric light was not Edison, but Edison improved the electric light. As early as 1801, a British chemist named Humphrey Davy in the laboratory with a platinum wire electrified luminescence; 1810, he invented two electrified carbon rods between the arc and lighting "electric candle", which is considered to be the earliest prototype of the electric light.
The report about Swan's electric light bulb gave Edison a great inspiration. 1879 October, Edison finally succeeded in making the incandescent light bulb with carbonized fiber as the filament, called "carbonized cotton incandescent lamp", and then put into operation in large quantities, and set up a company to set up a power station and transmission grid and other corresponding infrastructure, and soon made the electric light in the United States was the first to be used in the United States, the United States is the first time in the world. The light bulb was then produced in large quantities, and companies were formed to set up power stations and transmission grids.
