Most of us know that the golden time for cardiac arrest patients is within 4 minutes, because studies have shown that when cardiac arrest within 4 minutes of CPR, the survival rate of patients and about 50%. When more than 4-6 minutes, the brain tissue will occur permanent hypoxia damage. More than 10 minutes, the patient is prone to brain death, easy to form a vegetative state, difficult to save.

CPR is a basic skill that the general public needs to master. We can learn the steps of CPR "ABCDE" together:

A for Airway (airway), to ensure that the patient's airway is open during the resuscitation, to clean up the mouth whether there is any food debris or dentures and other foreign objects, to prevent blocking the airway. B stands for Breathing and C stands for Circulation. When doing cardiac resuscitation, you need to press on the middle and lower third of the sternum at a frequency of 100 times per minute, and the depth of pressure should reach 4-5 centimeters for adults, so as to exert pressure on the blood circulation and ensure the perfusion of the patient's blood circulation. In addition, mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration should be done well, which should be matched with chest compressions in a certain ratio. D stands for drug. During resuscitation, the patient's condition needs to be evaluated regularly, and drugs such as epinephrine should be used as much as possible to strengthen the heart's response and increase the patient's voluntary heart rate. The patient needs to be observed to assess the effectiveness of CPR and to see if CPR needs to be continued or if treatments such as electric defibrillation need to be applied.

For the general public, the first three steps of the "ABCDE" of CPR should be mastered. Only by doing so can we help our loved ones or strangers who suffer cardiac arrest, and save lives before the patient receives professional medical treatment. #CLEAN BREEZE PROGRAM # HEALTH GUARDIANS #
