There are two reasons why no company is doing 5G TV: one isn't necessary, and the other is cost.
In November, 5G was officially made available for commercial use, but there are very few places that actually use 5G. Perhaps you have not felt it. Some telcos have set up 5G base stations with state support, but what about 5G in the equipment around them? Electronic devices of course only a few people will use 5G phones.
In fact, smart TVs are now connected to primitive network cables or WiFi and other communications technologies, whether it's an all-in-one TV box or an external TV box, and TVs and TV boxes are rarely connected. But just because you don't have a 4G TV doesn't mean you don't have a 5G TV - remember that 5G is a big platform for faster data transfer, but wireless. In fact, wireless information is not faster. Wired is wired information transmission because wireless, unlimited and wireless information speeds are limited.
There are two reasons why people aren't using 5G TV right now. one is not essential and the other is cost. In fact, Hisense announced it early on with 5G TVs and a proposal for 8K video, but as far as current resources go, 4K video is as small as 8K. For smart TVs, the industry is still immature and many features don't require high internet speeds for now. In terms of cost, especially in some of today's TV boxes, the hardware configuration is not very high. Today, the most configured TV boxes in China have 5G ports for just a few hundred dollars, a few hundred RMB, which can be expensive. Still, low-end TV boxes for over $100, such as Xiaomi sells, have 5G ports that cost more than the box.
So, either the TV or the TV box, it won't be connecting to a 5G port for a while, and at the end of the day, WiFi and network cables will still do the job for you. Currently, 5G will probably be used in cell phones and will be needed for big data transfer electronic devices as well as some industrial, medical and driverless cars
