I. Preparatory work
Before drawing, you need to prepare models and drawing materials. The model can be modeled by 4D cinema or imported into other 3D modeling software. Texture materials can be downloaded from the Internet or made by yourself. Common texture materials are textures, pictures, videos, logos, etc. When selecting drawing materials, we need to pay attention to its resolution and format to ensure the clarity and compatibility of drawing.
Second, the mapping method
There are many mapping methods in 4D cinema, including using materials, texture labels and UV mapping. The following will introduce the basic operations of these mapping methods respectively.
1. Use materials
Material is an object in a 4D cinema, which can control the surface properties and rendering effect of the model. By using materials, you can add texture, color, reflection, transparency and other effects to the model. The following is the basic process of using materials for mapping:
(1) Double-click the model to open the Material Editor window.
(2) In the Material Editor, select the material to which you want to add a map.
(3) Click the Color tab and select the Map option.
(4) Click the "Open" button and select the texture material to be added.
(5) Adjust the position, size and rotation of the map to adapt to the shape and size of the model.
(6) See the effect of mapping through rendering preview.
2. Texture label
Texture label is a label associated with a material, which can add different maps to different parts of the material. The following is the basic process of mapping with texture labels:
(1) Double-click the model to open the Property Manager window.
(2) In the Attribute Manager, select the material to be textured.
(3) Click the "Add Label" button and select the "Texture" option.
(4) Click the "Map" button and select the map material to be added.
(5) Adjust the position, size and rotation of the map to adapt to the shape and size of the model.
(6) See the effect of mapping through rendering preview.
3.UV mapping
UV mapping is a method to map the mapped material to the model surface, which can make the mapped material present a natural effect on the model surface. The following is the basic process of mapping using UV mapping:
(1) Double-click the model to open the Property Manager window.
(2) In the Attribute Manager, select the model that needs UV mapping.
(3) Click the "Projection" button and select the projection method to be used, such as sphere, plane, etc.
(4) Drag and drop the mapping material onto the model to adjust the location, size and rotation of the mapping.
(5) Check the effect of the mapping by rendering preview.
Third, drawing skills
When drawing, you need to pay attention to the following skills to improve the effect and efficiency of drawing:
1. Use high-quality drawing materials to ensure the clarity and gloss of drawing.
2. Set the lights before mapping, adjust the camera angle, and simulate the real light and shadow effect.
3. Adjust the position, size, rotation, transparency, reflection and other effects of the map by using the parameters in the Material Editor and Attribute Manager reasonably.
4. Use the layer function to layer the map for later adjustment and modification.
5. Using the methods of "texture labeling" and "UV mapping", the mapping materials are mapped to the model surface to improve the realism and details of the mapping.
6. Use the "Projection" function to project the mapping material to adapt to different model shapes and sizes.
7. Before rendering, use the "Render Preview" function to see the mapping effect and make adjustments and optimizations.
In a word, the correct mapping technology can make the model more vivid and improve the rendering effect. In the process of drawing, it is necessary to select appropriate drawing materials, adopt appropriate drawing methods and use some skills and tools to achieve the best results.
