Vulcan Mountain completed in 10 days to start a new course of China's construction technology

Introduction with the virus epidemic infestation, the Wuhan front line came the news, Wuhan Vulcan Hill hospital is scheduled to be completed on February 2, Lei Shenshan hospital will also be completed on February 5, Vulcan Hill 10 days to complete, undoubtedly, for our war on the epidemic demon, added a new weapon, opened up a new battlefield, Wuhan Vulcan Hill hospital was completed, opened a new course of China's construction technology.

February 2 morning, Vulcan Mountain Hospital officially delivered to the People's Army medical workers, 10 days or so to build a hospital,

Two hospitals to have enough capacity to meet the demand for hospitals on the adjacent lakes can not be polluted, are construction technology is playing a huge role.

How can the two hospitals meet the demand? Wuhan is the top priority for epidemic prevention and control, and winning the battle to stop the epidemic in Wuhan is a big deal. The new Vulcan Mountain Hospital and Leishen Mountain Hospital can solve about 2,300 beds. In addition to Vulcan Mountain and Leishen Mountain hospitals, Wuhan will also renovate six hospitals in far-away urban areas, adding about 10,000 beds for timely admission and treatment of confirmed cases. To cope with the new situation of the epidemic, Wuhan decided on Jan. 29 to expand the number of beds in the Leishenshan Hospital, which is under construction, to about 1,600 from the 1,300 originally designed.

How was it built in 10 days?

January 24, on the one hand, the implementation of construction vehicles, machinery and other equipment; on the other hand, the design of the hospital program. Vulcan Mountain Hospital design program implementation process, BIM show their hands. From January 27 to 29, just 72 hours. According to the requirements, the construction period of Vulcan Mountain Hospital, which has a floor area of 25,000 square meters, was short. Therefore, the project decided to design, construct, modify and adjust at the same time, and complete it in a cross raid. The biggest difficulty in this was the tight schedule without any chance of rework. The designers modeled and produced drawings while the construction site was being built, which had never been done before. A BIM model of a hospital that normally accommodates 1,000 beds and wards would take six people about a month to create, but this time it took only three days. During the design process, not only the model room model should be well-designed, do a good job of collision detection; but also need to take into account: information interoperability, power supply, the overall coordination of the planning; and, most importantly, consider how to avoid secondary pollution caused by medical treatment.

How to prevent cross-infection in the hospital?

From the BIM assembly illustration, it can be seen that there is a transfer cabin consisting of two layers of glass and ultraviolet light system in the ward, and patients' meals and medicines will be transferred in from this transfer cabin. They are sterilized through the UV system in the transfer pod to avoid infection. Each ward has two beds and a separate bathroom. The design idea is based on the principle of "clean and dirty streaming, doctor and patient streaming, and people streaming", and adopts a strict "three-zone and two-channel" design, with medical and nursing staff working in a "clean zone - semi-contaminated zone The workflow of "clean area - semi-polluted area" arranges the work area. Every time you enter the first level area, the medical channel is completely separated from the patient channel, providing a safe and reliable working environment for medical workers.

Avoiding the pollution of nearby lakes

The hospital's wastewater has to go through seven strict procedures from discharge to qualified treatment, and it is first collected and pre-sterilized in the hospital area in a fully enclosed area. Then it is elevated to the sewage treatment station for biochemical treatment, and finally it is discharged into the municipal pipe network only after the system is tested and qualified. To prevent rainwater from seeping into the ground, all the floors in the isolation area have been hardened. Through the concrete base layer, impermeable membrane and reinforced concrete land surface layer and other three layers of protection to ensure that no rainwater seepage. And rainwater is collected into the courtyard storage tank, and then discharged into the city sewage system after disinfection.

Will it affect the health of residents around the hospital?

The hospital's sites are located downwind of Wuhan, and all rooms are sterilized and efficiently filtered to meet national standards before being discharged overhead. In the design, the vast majority of the hospital's medical and technical rooms for the negative pressure room, and in the wards, ICU according to the relevant norms to increase the amount of fresh air. The pressure inside the room is lower than outside, which can effectively avoid viruses being transmitted to the outside with the airflow and polluting the outdoor air. Vulcan Mountain Hospital has a construction area of 34,000 square meters, 419 wards and 1,000 beds, and strictly divides the contaminated and clean areas. Transfer bins are set up to transmit food and medicine separately, and an ultraviolet light system is used to sterilize them to avoid infection. Air conditioners and TVs are installed in each ward, and there are separate toilets and showers in the rooms. All wards have separate fresh air exhaust systems, and the ratio of air duct area to floor area is

1.5:1, which is more than three times that of an ordinary hospital.

In the face of the epidemic, we are all united as one, and the construction brothers, but also the first to bear the brunt of the construction of the hospital to spend this Spring Festival in the front line, while the fight against the epidemic, while we fight in the front line of the construction brothers cheering and cheering, the construction speed is not only for us to beat the epidemic, but also shocked the world, the new journey of China's construction technology has begun!
