The joint logistics support force is very special in our military sequence. It is independent of the five major war zones and directly under the Central Military Commission. It is a second-class shelf, headquartered in Wuhan. Many people don't understand what the joint logistics support force does, and this problem is understandable.

In short, the joint logistics support force is the main force of our army to implement joint logistics support and strategic campaign support, and it can also be understood as a force specializing in logistics support. Therefore, the establishment of the joint logistics support force matches the theater system.

There are five joint logistics support centers in Wuxi, Guilin, Xining, Shenyang and Zhengzhou, which just correspond to the eastern, southern, western, northern and central war zones. Details are as follows:

Wuxi (Eastern Theater)

Wuxi is one of the central cities in the Yangtze River Delta, with the Yangtze River in the north and Taihu Lake in the south. The canal runs through the city. It is the representative of Jiangnan water town. The distance between Wuxi and Nanjing, Shanghai and Hangzhou is moderate, as shown in the following figure:

Nanjing, Shanghai and Hangzhou are cities with extremely developed traffic levels. Most of the railway networks of the east-west line and the north-south line converge in this generation, and the transportation such as water transport, aviation and highway is more developed. In addition, Nanjing, Shanghai and Hangzhou have the same identity, that is, international transportation hub cities.

It can be seen that the geographical location of Wuxi is very special. Of course, Wuxi's own traffic conditions are also very developed. Wuxi Station is one of the few dedicated passenger and freight stations in East China, and Wuxi South Station is also a dedicated freight station, although it is not as big as Wuxi Station.

Guilin (southern war zone)

Presumably most people know that Guilin's landscape is the best in the world, but how many people know that Guilin's landscape is also a battleground for military strategists? Guilin is backed by the southwest, connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and located at the southern end of the Xiang-Gui Corridor.

Here, the author needs to introduce more about the Xiang-Gui Corridor, which is sandwiched between Yuechengling and Haiyang Mountains in Nanling, and has been the traffic artery from the Central Plains to Lingnan since ancient times. For example, in order to run a hundred times, Qin Shihuang specially built a Lingqu in Guilin.

From this point of view, ancient Guilin's water transport was particularly developed. By the rise of modern railways, Guilin's water transport almost declined, and it was replaced by Hunan-Guangxi Railway. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, China built a railway in the southwest, and Guilin's position was highlighted again.

Open the map again, and you will find that Guilin is located at the junction of Hunan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces, and its geographical position is very superior. In this way, Guilin can rely on its own railway transportation advantages to get in touch with Yunnan and Guangdong provinces.

Xining (Western Theater)

Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, if the feudal dynasty wanted to govern the northwest, it had to govern Xining, which was a strategic place to guard the Hexi Corridor. Without it, Xining happens to be in the "waist eye" position of Hexi Corridor.

With this unique geographical location, Xining has become one of the most important cities in the vast northwest region. In addition, Xining is the gateway to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and an important transition zone from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to the Loess Plateau. Therefore, the geographical location of Xining belongs to the strategic level.

After the founding of New China, China increased its participation in railway transportation in Xining, where Qinghai-Tibet Railway and Lanzhou-Qinghai Railway converged. Although there are not many railways in Xining, the gold content is really not low at all. Just look at the Lanzhou-Qingdao Railway.

Lanzhou-Qinghai Railway connects Longhai Railway, Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway, baotou-lanzhou railway and other railway trunk lines, and also extends the railway transportation network in Xining. Shenyang (Northern Theater)

In the magnificent three-year War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Shenyang has always been a transit point for troops to enter the DPRK, known as "front and rear, rear and front", and was fully responsible for the material supply and combat support of our volunteers.

At present, the author only needs to say three key words about the importance of Shenyang: Liaoning provincial capital, sub-provincial cities and megacities. With these three points, the strategic significance of Shenyang is self-evident.

As far as railway transportation is concerned, Shenyang has gathered many railway trunk lines such as beijing-harbin railway, Shenyang-Dalian Railway, Ji Shen Railway, Shenyang-Dalian Railway, Shenjia Railway, shenshan railway, Sufu Branch Line and Harbin-Dalian High-speed Railway.

Anyone with a little knowledge of geography knows that each of the above railway trunk lines has a bearing on the whole body, so I won't go into details here. The real strength of Shenyang is first-class heavy industry.

As early as the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Shenyang became a heavy industry base with equipment manufacturing as the main industry, enjoying the reputation of "Equipment Department of the Republic of China", "the eldest son of the Republic of China" and "Ruhr of the East". It can be seen that the development degree of Shenyang's heavy industry.

For example, J -5, J-1 1, J-15, FC-3 1 and other network celebrity fighters are all representative works of Shen Fei. Shen Fei, known as "Shenhuoyi" in China, began to digest and absorb the technology of Su -27 in the 1990s, and made great contributions to the development of China's aviation industry.

Most importantly, Shenyang is also the headquarters of the northern theater organs. Further on, Shenyang is also the headquarters of shenyang military area command, which can be said to be a military town. As can be seen from the above, Shenyang has convenient transportation and strong heavy industry background, so there is no reason not to become a joint logistics support center.

Zhengzhou (Central Theater)

Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province, is located on the horizontal axis of Beijing-Guangzhou line and Longhai line, and is a typical "city pulled out by train". Judging from the national railway pattern, Zhengzhou is located in the center of China railway network, which not only forms a "double cross" railway passenger hub, but also is the intersection of the "meter" high-speed railway network.

See? The time for Zhengzhou to reach all prefecture-level cities in the province is within 67 minutes, and even the time for Handan and Jincheng is within 1 hour. The real strength of Zhengzhou lies not in this, but in that it can reach any provincial capital city in China without transfer:

Within 400km, Zhengzhou can reach Xi, Taiyuan, Shijiazhuang, Jinan, Hefei and Wuhan.

Within 1000km, Zhengzhou can reach Beijing, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Changsha, Nanjing, Shanghai and other places.

From a military point of view, Zhengzhou is a strategic material distribution center. As early as 1948, on the eve of Huaihai Campaign, Nakano concentrated superior forces to liberate Zhengzhou, took control of the Central Plains railway hub in one fell swoop, and achieved the strategic goal of basically connecting the three strategic regions of Northwest China, North China and Central Plains.

Later, the Central Plains Military Region established the "Zhengzhou Joint Management Committee of the Central Plains Longhai Pinghan Railway" in time to manage the strategic materials hoarded in Zhengzhou in a unified manner. Everyone knows what happened next. Strategic materials left Zhengzhou all the way to the east and were transported to Shangqiu, near the front line of Huaihai, to continuously deliver fresh blood for the main force.
