Difference between 3D Visualization and 3D Reconstruction of Medical Images

I understand that 3D reconstruction refers to the process of transforming projection data into volume data based on CT, which is concerned by equipment manufacturers and related researchers. After 3D reconstruction, the data are saved as continuous slices (medical treatment is in DICOM format), which can be visualized by DICOM reading software, AMIRA, AVIZO, MIMICS and other advanced 3D visualization software, and the concerned data can be extracted and quantitatively analyzed.
