Preparation procedure for receiving patients in intensive care unit

(1). Receiving patient preparation

1. Bed preparation

Lay the anesthesia bed, prepare the bedside card, and disinfect it with ultraviolet rays for half an hour if necessary.

2. Instrument preparation

(1). The ventilator should be connected to the pipeline, and all parameters should be adjusted according to the patient's specific situation, and confirmed.

(2) The monitor should prepare the plug-in according to the monitoring project, connect the wires correctly, and set the alarm range after debugging.

(3) Defibrillator should check its performance and set parameters for standby.

(4) Other instruments and equipment (such as micropump, pacemaker, low negative pressure aspirator, central oxygen supply, simple respirator, gastrointestinal decompression device), etc. , should be kept in good condition for standby.

3. Equipment preparation

Rescue vehicle, tracheotomy kit, various puncture kits, general anesthesia tray, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, etc.

Prepare items

(1) Sterile articles: three-way tube, indwelling bag (bottle), extension tube, sputum suction tube, gloves, syringe, infusion and infusion set, etc.

(2) General articles: restraint tape, paper (cloth) glue, measuring cup, hydrometer, central venous pressure measuring device, electrode plate, flashlight, various record sheets, pens, etc.

5. Prepare liquids and medicines. Prepare drugs as needed.

(2) Procedures for receiving patients

When accepting a patient, it is usually two ICU nurses to pick up the patient, one is connected to the artificial respiration machine and the other is connected to the ECG monitor. If a person picks up a patient, first pick up an artificial respiration machine, and then pick up an ECG monitor.

1. Connect the ventilator to observe the thoracic cavity delivery, fix the tracheal intubation, and record the intubation depth.

2. Connect the ECG monitor to display ECG, heart rate, NIBP, laps, heart rate, CVP, etc.

3. Connect the pacemaker.

4. Connect the infusion pump.

5. Connect all kinds of drainage pipes and place them properly.

6. Observe the mind and pupils.

7. Auscultate the breathing sounds of both lungs.

8. Take your temperature.

9. Restrain limbs.

10. Hand over the illness, medication, blood, etc. Explain in detail to the operation and anesthesia personnel.
