1, ULED is essentially an LCD TV with LED backlight. Hisense officially claimed that ULED adopted multi-partition independent backlight control and Hiview picture engine technology, which greatly improved the picture contrast, picture layering, dark field details, accurate color reproduction and picture fluency compared with the traditional LED display.
2.ULED is a direct LED. At present, the direct backlight module on the market is widely used in low-end models of various brands. Its body is 4 cm thick and its frame is 1 cm wide. The back shell is made of ordinary plastic. Under the current aesthetic trend of taking thinness as beauty, ULED is pursuing the ultimate thinness, regardless of mobile phone, tablet computer, notebook computer or TV, but the fact is just the opposite, and the back shell is also very cheap.
3.ULED adopts soft screen, and the problems such as picture tailing and weak color expression are more prominent. The image quality enhancement technology adopted by ULED is to improve the parameters through software control. This is not an innovative technology, it has existed in the market for many years. From this point of view, ULED did not revolutionize the image quality as claimed by the manufacturer, but rather repackaged the concept.
4.ULED means that the chip used in the product is MTK5327, and the architecture is dual-core CPU+ dual-core GPU, which does not support H.265 and cannot decode real 4K video resources. This chip belongs to the low-end configuration in the current market and is applied to the high-end products claimed by the manufacturers.
