The hematology specialty group of the Department of Internal Medicine was established in 1962, and the Department of Hematology was set up in 1978, which was approved by the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) as the All-Army Hematology Disease Center in 1979. At present, it is one of the authorizing points for master's and doctoral degrees in medicine, one of the national clinical research bases for medicines, one of the key disciplines in the post-doctoral station of clinical medicine of the Second Military Medical University and one of the key disciplines of Changhai Hospital. There are 46 medical, teaching, research, nursing and technical personnel, including 2 professors and chief physicians, 4 associate professors and deputy chief physicians, 1 researcher and 1 deputy chief technician, 10 intermediate titles, and most of the medical, teaching and research personnel have doctoral or master's degrees. Currently there are 11 postdoctoral, doctoral and master's degree students. There are 34 beds, 5 advanced sterile laminar flow beds, 440M2 area for specialized laboratories, with laminar flow sterile laboratories, program-controlled cooling instrument, computerized cytopathology system, blood cell separator, gel imaging system, fluorescence microscope, fluorescence microscope, fluorescence microscope and gel imaging system. Fluorescence microscope, fluorescence inverted microscope, clinical grade magnetic immune cell separator and other modern clinical and experimental equipment. The annual average number of outpatient visits is more than 6500, and the number of hospitalized patients is about 500. It treats acute and chronic leukemia, lymphoma, various anemia and other benign and malignant blood diseases. It has been entrusted by the General Logistics Department to hold 7 special courses and advanced special courses on hematology for the whole army, each period of which lasts for 10 months to 3 years, which has cultivated a number of hematology professionals for the army and the local community, and many of them are well-known scholars of hematology in China. The main new medical technologies carried out by this discipline in the past years are:1. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for the treatment of malignant and acute radiation diseases, such as fetal liver cell transplantation, half-way contracted allogeneic bone marrow transplantation, autologous and allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation, parent-child peripheral stem cell transplantation, unrelated bone marrow transplantation and CD34+ cell transplantation, etc.;2. Clinical research on hemophilia B gene therapy (the first case in the international arena);3, Establishment of a complete method for the determination of erythrocyte enzyme disease and erythrocyte membrane disease, and diagnosis of difficult hemolytic anemia; 4. Comprehensive treatment of acute leukemia and malignant lymphoma; 5. Diagnosis of difficult hematological disorders. 50 scientific research projects have been carried out since 1980, including the National "863" High-tech Project Fund and the National Fund for Distinguished Talents (Cooperation), the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the All-Army Key Project Fund, each of which has been awarded 9 projects since 1982. Since 1982, the department has been awarded more than 20 army scientific and technological progress awards, including the second prize for national invention, the third prize for national scientific and technological progress, the first prize for Shanghai and army scientific and technological progress, and the second prize for army scientific and technological progress and medical achievements. The past directors of our department, Prof. Xu Yue'e, Prof. Yu Peilin. Prof. Min Bihuo, the previous directors of the Department, enjoy high reputation in the hematology field both inside and outside the military, and have made important contributions to the construction and development of the Department. Prof. Wang Jianmin, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Department, is one of the "Hundred Outstanding Cross-Century Academic Leaders" of the Shanghai Municipal Health System, and one of the "Rising Stars of Science and Technology" of the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army. Deputy Director Prof. Xu Xiaoping, Deputy Chief Physician, Master's Degree Tutor. As mankind enters into the 21st century, all the colleagues of the Department of Hematology of Changhai Hospital will, as always, adhere to the clinical center, teaching as the foundation, scientific research as the driving force, and cooperate with domestic hematology colleagues to serve patients wholeheartedly and make our due contribution to the development of China's hematology career. At present, the clinical features and research directions of this department mainly include the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of leukemia, malignant lymphoma and other malignant hematological diseases, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation related research and clinical application, gene therapy research of hematological diseases, pathophysiological research of red blood cell membranes and enzymes, and diagnosis and treatment of hemolytic anemia. Overview of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation for Malignant Blood Diseases in the Department of Hematology, Changhai Hospital Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in Changhai Hospital has achieved rapid development since 1982 when the Department of Hematology was the first to carry out fetal liver cell transplantation for the treatment of acute leukemia in China. In 1986, autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation was carried out for the treatment of malignant hematological diseases. in 1990, HLA incompatible bone marrow transplantation was carried out for the treatment of two cases of acute radiation sickness, and one case was successful, which was the first case in China. in 1995, autologous and allogeneic peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cell transplantation was carried out. in 1997, sibling sibling HLA incompatible allogeneic peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cell transplantation was carried out, and five patients were treated at the present time. Five patients have been treated so far. The patient, 20 years old, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and underwent allogeneic peripheral hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in our hospital. The donor was his sister, who was a little incompatible with HLA, and she suffered from severe acute graft-versus-host disease after transplantation; her condition was controlled by active treatment, and she survived without any disease, and she has participated in the workplace for 2 years. This is the first case of HLA incompatible peripheral blood stem cell transplantation in China. In 1998, he was the first to carry out allogeneic peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for parent-child HLA incompatibility in Shanghai, and achieved success. In the same year, we carried out unrelated donor bone marrow transplantation to treat malignant blood diseases, and have treated 6 patients. Ding Jian, a student of Fudan University, who was widely noticed by the media, underwent unrelated donor bone marrow transplantation for chronic granulocytic leukemia, and his hematopoietic function has basically recovered and he is in good condition now. The purified autologous peripheral blood CD34+ cell transplantation for the treatment of malignant blood diseases, this world advanced technology was carried out in our hospital in 1999, and has successfully treated multiple myeloma, lymphoma and other diseases. It has been reported by many media such as Jiefang Daily, Wen Wei Po, Health News, PLA Daily, etc., and has had a wide social impact. This year, unrelated donor allogeneic peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cell transplantation was carried out in our hospital, and two patients were successfully treated with transplantation. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation has not only treated acute and diffuse leukemia, but also myeloma, lymphoma, acute aplastic anemia and other diseases; so far,**** 80 cases of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation have been carried out, and 40 cases of hematopoietic allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation have been carried out, with a success rate of more than 90%, and a two-year survival rate of about 75%, which is up to the international level.
