Kiang Wu Hospital is a non-government healthcare institution in Macao, and is the largest private hospital in Macao, belonging to the Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association, which was inaugurated in 1871 (the 10th year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty) as a non-profit charitable hospital sponsored by the Chinese people of Macao. in 1892, after graduating from Hong Kong College of Medicine, Mr. Sun Yat-sen went to the hospital as a volunteer doctor, and was the first Chinese doctor of Western medicine in Macao. Over the past hundred years, the hospital has developed into a comprehensive medical base of considerable scale by adhering to the spirit of helping the world, saving the lives of the poor and serving the health of Macau citizens.
Kiang Wu Hospital originally only provided Chinese medicine services until 1892, when the young Dr. Sun Yat-sen graduated from the Alice College of Western Medicine in Hong Kong, he came to Kiang Wu Hospital to practise medicine, and became the first Western medicine doctor of the hospital, as well as the first Chinese Western medicine doctor in Macau. 1986, a bronze statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, casted with donations from Macao citizens, was erected in front of the main entrance of the hospital. Every year on October 10, activities are held to commemorate the Xinhai Revolution and to deliver speeches on cross-strait relations.
In 1935, Dr. Ko Lin, who was also the representative of the Chinese ****anese Communist Party in Macau, became a volunteer western medical doctor and a volunteer teacher at the Kiang Wu Nursing School, and worked to complete the construction of the hospital and fight for the right to operate for local Chinese doctors. 1946 saw the establishment of the presidential system, with Dr. Ko Lin serving as the first president and serving concurrently until 1979.

In 1935, Dr. Ke Lin served as a volunteer western medicine doctor at Kiang Wu Hospital and a volunteer teacher at Kiang Wu Nursing School, and was committed to the construction of Kiang Wu Medical Center, perfecting the clinical subspecialty system, advancing the development of western medicine, creating operating rooms, X-ray rooms, laboratories, organizing the Western medicine consultant group, and striving for the right to operate for the local Chinese doctors.1946, the establishment of the dean's system, and Dr. Ke Lin was appointed as the first dean, and he has been appointed as the dean of Kiang Wu Medical Center for more than 30 years. Dr. Ke Lin has been working for more than thirty years, without a penny to his name, actively improving medical technology, training medical personnel, improving the structure of medical departments and medical equipment, and gradually building the Mirror Lake Hospital from a simple medical clinic to a comprehensive hospital with a full range of departments and departments, which is a great achievement.
"Kiang Wu Hospital" was originally the name of "Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association" in the early stage of its establishment, with the development of charitable work and the increase in the number of organizations under it, it was named "Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association" when it was registered with the Macau Government in 1942. Kiang Wu Hospital Charity Association" and Kiang Wu Hospital became one of the organizations under "Kiang Wu Hospital Charity Association". Kiang Wu Hospital Charity Association has a Supreme Council, a Board of Directors and a Board of Supervisors. Dr. Ma Wanqi, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), is the Chairman of the Charity Association. Under the Charity Association, there are Kiang Wu Hospital, Kiang Wu Nursing College, Kiang Ping School, Kiang Wu Funeral Parlor and Sikin Garden.
