Those who denigrate TCM first think that TCM theory is unscientific and its theoretical basis is mysterious and unfathomable. Traditional Chinese medicine is idealistic and lacks scientific means of diagnosis and treatment, while western medicine is based on experimental research. In contrast, they think that only western medicine is scientific.
Actually, it's not as they say, Chinese medicine is useless, and western medicine is amazing. In fact, from an objective point of view, we should recognize the scientific and advanced nature of western medicine, but we cannot deny the rationality and scientific nature of the existence of Chinese medicine.
Science is based on rigorous theory and universal practice, and the scientific and unscientific nature of TCM cannot be judged by subjective assumptions. It is unfair to discuss the existence of Chinese medicine and the rationality of medical theory on the basis of western medicine theory.
It is certainly unscientific to look at Chinese medicine from the perspective of western medicine. On the other hand, there are many unreasonable, irregular and unscientific places to look at western medicine on the basis of Chinese medicine theory.
In fact, we all know that these people who oppose Chinese medicine always label Chinese medicine as "yin-yang and five elements theory" and treat Chinese medicine with a discriminatory eye. However, Chinese medicine has a unique effect on the treatment of many diseases in practice because of its many prescriptions and good mass base, but this cannot stop those who denigrate Chinese medicine.
They think this is a plant medicine in their western medicine. To put it bluntly, it is to incorporate Chinese medicine into western medicine and become a small branch of western medicine.
We never deny the rationality of a science, including western medicine, but we can't completely deny it because it is unreasonable and imperfect. It is our scientific view to treat a science objectively.
