China lowers import and export tariffs on 954 commodities from Jan. 1, 2022

Xinhua News Agency, approved by the State Council, the State Council Customs Tariff Commission on the 15th issued a notice to the public that the import and export tariffs of some commodities will be adjusted in 2022.

The person in charge of the Customs Tariff Department of the Ministry of Finance said that starting from January 1, 2022, China will implement temporary import tariff rates lower than the most-favored-nation (MFN) tariff rate for 954 items of commodities. Among them, the new anti-cancer drug radium chloride injection to implement zero tariff, reduce the intracranial thrombosis stent, artificial joints and other parts of the import tariffs of medical products; reduce the import tariffs of some consumer goods, including salmon, cod and other high-quality aquatic products, baby clothes, dishwashers, skiing equipment, etc.; more than 100 years of oil paintings and other works of art, such as the implementation of zero tariffs.
