Why should the residual chlorine be kept at 0.3-0.5mg/L?
Keeping the residual chlorine within the specified range can not only ensure the disinfection effect, but also cause no harm, eliminate germs and viruses, control the number of bacteria in swimming pool water within the specified range, inhibit the growth of algae and prevent the water from turning green.
If the residual chlorine exceeds the standard, the chlorine smell in the water will be very strong, which will not only stimulate people's respiratory system and eyes, but also cause many people to have allergies. Therefore, in order to control the residual chlorine, we can't just put a lot of disinfectant in the swimming pool for disinfection.
On the contrary, the residual chlorine can't fail to meet the standard. If the residual chlorine in the water is insufficient, the disinfection effect cannot be guaranteed, and the consequence is that the bacterial content in the water exceeds the standard, which is harmful to human health. Moreover, with the weakening of disinfection ability, a variety of bacteria in water will breed and accelerate reproduction. Algae will also grow and multiply rapidly because of the loss of inhibition, making the water body green and turbid, thus making the water quality deteriorate rapidly. In order to prevent these situations, it is necessary to regulate the residual chlorine in a standard state and try to keep the water quality in a good state.
In order to keep the residual chlorine in the swimming pool up to standard, water treatment and disinfection should be carried out every day, usually after closing the pool every night and 2 hours before opening the pool the next day. However, there are also some special circumstances, such as rainy days, when it rains, the outdoor swimming pool is more troublesome, and the pool disinfectant should be doubled and treated in time. For example, in summer, the flow of people is large, the water temperature is high, and the requirements for disinfection are stricter. Because the consumption and volatilization of residual chlorine are accelerated, it is necessary to replenish residual chlorine halfway. At this time, it can be supplemented with disinfectant tablets that dissolve quickly and chlorine pills of 2g. Be careful to put it in when no one is swimming.
