Classification of bronchoscopes

(A) rigid bronchoscope: is a metal made of thin hollow tube mirror, the distal end of a sloped opening, the edge of the smooth rounded, easy to insert into the trachea without damage to the mucosa, the proximal end of a mirror handle and the distal end of the sloped opening of the direction of the opposite direction, not only for the handheld object and can determine the direction of the opening. There are three main types of bronchoscopes: the Jackson type, the Negus type, and the bronchoscope with a Hopkins endoscope.

(2) Flexible bronchoscopes:

There are two main types: fiberoptic bronchoscopes and electronic bronchoscopes.
