Shandong Province Network Environment Intelligent Computing Technology Key Laboratory relies on the School of Information Science and Engineering of Jinan University, which has a master's degree in the first-level discipline of "Computer Science and Technology" and master's degrees in "Signal and Information Processing", "Information Processing", and "Network Security". The Computer Software Experimental Center of the College of Information Technology is divided into two computer rooms on the east and west campuses. Jinan University High Performance Computing Center

During the Ninth Five-Year Plan period, the school also attached great importance to the investment in scientific research equipment for the key laboratories at the same time as the key construction in Shandong Province. (1) Cement Material Simulation Application

Simulating the hydration process of cement and its microstructure by computer is an important part of computational material science. The hydration of cement is a very complex physicochemical change process, due to the uneven size of the particles (large differences), the complex shape and the characteristics such as polymorphism, which makes the numerical representation of the cement particles become very complicated. The study of the hydration and hardening process of cement, the hydration products, and the composition and structure of hardened cement paste are of great practical significance to the production and use of cement. Summarizing the previous research results, we have been able to realize the reconstruction of the three-dimensional microstructure on the basis of obtaining two-dimensional scanning electron microscope images and X-Ray images, and use the cellular automata theory combined with the physicochemical rules of cement hydration to carry out a three-dimensional dynamic simulation of the microscopic process of cement hydration to reveal the relationship between the microstructure and the properties, which provides a method and tool capable of analyzing and designing the cement materials. method and tool. However, the localization of the particle reaction in the hydration process and the complexity of the influence of environmental factors on the reaction as a whole determine that the simulation process is bound to be a highly computationally intensive process, which requires the parallel and cooperative work of multiple computational nodes in order to more realistically reproduce the hydration reaction process. Through the cement building materials simulation grid platform of Jinan University, a safe and efficient computational platform is provided for the hydration process of cement and the processing of two-dimensional images, which provides a good computational environment for our scientific research work.

(2) Computational Application of Quantum Chemistry

Quantum chemistry is a branch of theory that applies the basic principles and methods of quantum mechanics, and is a basic discipline for the study of chemical problems. The research scope of quantum chemistry includes the structure and properties of stable and unstable molecules, and the relationship between their structure and properties; molecule-to-molecule interactions; molecule-to-molecule collisions and interactions, and other issues. Quantum chemistry can be divided into two categories: basic research and applied research. Basic research mainly seeks for its own laws in quantum chemistry, and establishes multi-body methods and computational methods of quantum chemistry, etc.; applied research is to deal with the chemical problems by using quantum chemistry methods, and to explain the chemical phenomena by the structure of quantum chemistry.

The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is one of the key faculties of the university, which is mainly engaged in the theoretical chemistry of biology, the computation and simulation of the chemistry of environmental gases and the design of molecules of functional materials. Initially, the calculations were carried out on ordinary desktop computers with Gaussian98 program and auxiliary software, although some results were obtained, but due to the configuration of the computer and the limitation of computing speed, many programs could not get better results, and some programs also seriously affected the whole work due to the long running time of the stand-alone computer. By utilizing the Gaussian03 computing environment on the grid computing platform of Jinan University, we have improved the running speed of the program and achieved many important results. We have published more than ten related academic papers, many of which have been indexed by SCI and EI, thus greatly advancing the research process of many topics.

(3) Computer Intelligence Aided Design Applications

The Laboratory of Computational Intelligence is one of the key laboratories of Jinan University, and its main research includes evolutionary computation, neural networks and fuzzy systems and other technologies. The Laboratory of Computational Intelligence has already achieved fruitful results in the fields of signal processing, intelligent control, pattern recognition, machine vision, nonlinear optimization, automatic target recognition, knowledge processing, and remote sensing technology.

The group has been engaged in the research of complex evolutionary optimization problems, learning problems of neural networks and fuzzy systems in recent years. In the application of neural networks, the main problem faced is that when the learning samples reach a massive degree and the inputs of neural networks increase, it takes a long time to train, and even fails to achieve the desired results. Fuzzy systems as well as neuro-fuzzy systems face a similar problem, i.e., when the number of inputs to the fuzzy system increases, the number of fuzzy rules increases exponentially, resulting in the entire fuzzy system running on a single CPU not working. Through the Computational Intelligence Grid Service Platform of Jinan University, the speed of computation has been accelerated with remarkable results, which promotes the research process in our lab. The group has published several academic papers in relevant international and domestic academic conferences and journals.

(4) Network Traffic Monitoring and Complete Analysis

The Network Center, as the teaching, scientific research and network construction and management department in the field of computer network of the university, the Network Center is mainly responsible for the construction and maintenance of the campus backbone network and the data center of the digital campus, as well as part of the undergraduate courses in the discipline of information technology and the training tasks of postgraduate students. In the cement material simulation grid project, the Network Center participated in the testing of the cement material simulation computing platform, quantum chemistry computing platform and computational intelligence simulation platform. After testing, the grid service platform has good user interface, reasonable system architecture, load balanced system and good computing rate. It can provide a scientific computing platform for the research and development of cement materials, the calculation of quantum chemistry, and the learning problems related to computational intelligence. At the same time, with the advantageous network resources of the platform and the network center, it can monitor the traffic, analyze the network security behaviors, and provide services for the users in the university.
