What is the service life of the wire?

The service life of wires depends on the quality of wires and the installation environment of wires. The wire is mainly insulated from the external environment by an outer sheath. After a long time, it is corroded by corrosive gas, and the insulation performance is reduced. Gradually aging, hardening, brittle or falling off, and then there is no heat preservation effect.

The insulation layer on the surface of household wires is mostly made of plastic and rubber, which will age and lose its insulation effect after a long time of use. General household wires can be used for about 10-20 years under normal conditions. High-end wires are made of fluoroplastics, and King Jingde plastic wires can be used for about 70 years.

It is very dangerous to lose the insulation of wires. If two wires touch together or a live wire touches something connected with the earth, electricity will run away, causing the temperature of local wires to rise and sparks will be generated. If there are flammable materials near the wire, it is easy to cause a fire, which will cause a fire. So pay attention to:

(1) The wires shall not be affected with moisture, heat, corrosion or scratches.

(2) The wires shall be inspected after being used for a certain number of years, and replaced in time when problems are found.

(3) Don't overload the wires.
