The development of Shandong Red Cross Society's involvement in hospitals.

The hospital was established in 1949, initiated by cell biologists studying in the United States, and was strongly supported by the Red Cross Society of Shandong Province at the beginning of its establishment. At the end of last century, tumor interventional surgery was in the ascendant. The hospital cooperated with Peking University First Hospital and Harvard Medical College to carry out tumor interventional surgery, which filled the blank of tumor interventional surgery in Shandong Province.

In 2000, the hospital moved to the junction of Shanda Road and Jingshi Road, and the hardware level and medical level of the hospital were further improved. At that time, interventional surgery was a high-end medical technology. As the first medical institution with this technology in Shandong, the hospital has gathered first-class experts at home and abroad and added a number of national medical achievements. Hospital interventional surgery technology continues to lead the country, and has been interviewed and reported by many authoritative media such as Shandong TV Station, qtv TV Station, Jinan TV Station, Qilu Evening News and Legal Daily, and has been widely praised by the society.

In 2003, a major breakthrough was made in the basic research and development of stem cells, and Jinan cell biology research and treatment base was established, which was a milestone in the history of stem cells in China. The hospital cooperated with the Institute of Future Cells of Seoul National University in Korea to carry out research on neural stem cell transplantation. By 2006, more than 6,000 patients from Korea, Japan and the United States had been successfully treated.

In 2006, stem cell research and development technology changed with each passing day, and the hospital cooperated with the North Academy of Military Sciences to jointly develop with core patented technology. The technical ability of hospital stem cells has reached the international leading level, and neural stem cell culture technology has made another breakthrough and won international patents.

In 2007, the hospital obtained venture capital from the United States, and successively established basic research and development laboratories for stem cells in Jinan High-tech Development Zone, University of Pennsylvania and Shenzhen Science Park to speed up the research and development of stem cell technology.

The hospital has been developing therapeutic stem cells for nine years. During this period, tens of thousands of patients from five continents got health from here, and the hospital also won wide acclaim from all walks of life.
