Most shopping centers have licensed money changers. Travelers should not exchange money with illegal money changers.

Banks are open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm (a few banks are open until 3:00 pm on Saturday). Some banks on Orchard Road remain open on Sundays from 9:30am to 3:00pm.

If necessary, find out the opening hours of each bank first. Most banks handle traveler's checks and foreign currency exchange.

However, some banks do not handle foreign currency exchange on Saturdays.
