What is the difference between an electrical engineer and an instrumentation engineer

Electrical engineers favor the strong part of electricity, i.e., 220V AC, 380V or medium voltage, etc. Instrumentation engineering is partial to the weak part of the electricity, dealing more with electronics. Electrical engineer refers to obtain the "Chinese people **** and the country registered electrical engineer license registration certificate", engaged in electrical professional engineering design and related business professional and technical personnel.

Instrumentation engineer refers to the industrial automation instrumentation and control systems, scientific instruments, electronic measurement and electrical measuring instruments, medical instruments, various types of professional instruments, sensors and instrumentation components and functional materials and other industries engaged in the design of instruments and meters, installation, maintenance and other professional and technical personnel.

Currently, the scope of work of electrical engineers: roughly divided into electrical equipment control, electrical equipment installation, PLC, etc.; and the scope of work of instrumentation engineers, mainly to manage the installation and commissioning of instrumentation and automation equipment.
