What is CSA certification
CSA is the abbreviation of Canadian Standards Association. Founded in 1919, CsA is the first non-profit organization in Canada to set industrial standards. Products such as electronics and electrical appliances sold in the North American market need to obtain safety certification. At present, CSA is the largest safety certification body in Canada and one of the most famous safety certification bodies in the world. It can provide safety certification for all types of products in machinery, building materials, electrical appliances, computer equipment, office equipment, environmental protection, medical fire safety, sports and entertainment. CSA has provided certification services to thousands of manufacturers all over the world, and hundreds of millions of products with CSA logo are sold in North America every year.

the certification inspection of p>CSA mainly focuses on eight aspects:
human survival and environment, including occupational health and safety, public safety, environmental protection of sports and entertainment equipment and health care technology.
electricity and electronics: including the regulations on the installation of electrical equipment for buildings, and all kinds of industrial and commercial and civil electrical and electronic products.
communication and information: including residence processing system, telecommunications and electromagnetic interference technology and equipment.
building structure: including building materials and products, civil products, concrete, masonry structures, pipe fittings and architectural design.
energy: including energy regeneration and transfer, fuel combustion and safety equipment, and nuclear energy technology.
transportation and distribution system: including motor vehicle safety, oil and gas pipelines, material handling and distribution and offshore facilities.
material technology: including welding and metallurgy.
business and production management system: including quality management and basic engineering.
CSA certification process
1. Fill in the preliminary application form and submit it to CsA together with the specifications and technical data of all related products (including all electrical components and plastic materials);
2. CSA will determine the certification fee according to the specific conditions of the product, and then notify the applicant company by fax;
3. After confirmation by the applicant company, a formal application form and a notice will be sent, which includes the following requirements:
1) After the formal application form is signed, the authentication fee (which can be paid in RMB) will be wired to the office.
2) Send the test template to the designated place according to the notice.
4. The designated laboratory will carry out the certification on time.
5. After the certification test is completed, a preliminary report will be sent to the applicant company, which details as follows:
1) How to improve the product structure to meet the standards
2) Other materials to be used to complete the certification report
3) The contents of the draft simplified certification record of the applicant company
4) Shipping marks required for CsA certification and obtaining shipping marks.
7. At the same time, CSA will prepare a certification report for product production reference and follow-up inspection
8. At this stage, in some cases, CSA will go to the factory for initial factory evaluation, referred to as IFE.
9. finally, CSA will issue a certificate of conformity together with the certification record, authorizing the applicant company to add the certification mark of CSA to other products.
1.? The applicant company should sign a service agreement with CSA to show that both parties agree that CSA will go to the factory for product follow-up inspection. The applicant company has to pay an annual fee to maintain the agreement.

for parts list, please provide the name, model, rating and manufacturer information of product parts. If the parts have obtained CSA or UL certification, please indicate the file number of the parts. If there are multiple suppliers for a part, they can be provided.
product performance and specifications, such as size, rated voltage, current, frequency and power.
structure drawing or explosion drawing: the mechanical drawing of the product shall indicate the names of parts in the drawing, so as to correspond to the parts list one by one.
provide circuit schematic diagram: PCB schematic diagram, photos of products, instructions for use, safety matters or installation instructions, etc.
