Medical nonwoven wraps have many considerations in use:
1. Structure: medical nonwoven fabrics are made of spunbonded, meltblown and spunbonded layers (SMS) process. They have antibacterial, hydrophobic, breathable and other characteristics
2. Standard requirements: medical nonwoven fabrics as the final packaging material for sterile medical devices should meet the requirements of GB/T19633 and YY/T 0698.2.
3. Validity period: The validity period of sterile items packed with medical nonwoven fabrics should be 180 days, not affected by the sterilization method.
4. Packaging method: medical nonwoven packaging of surgical instruments, generally use the parcel method or envelope method. Two layers of nonwoven fabrics should be divided into two packages. Repeated folding can form a long curved path to prevent microorganisms from "easily" entering the sterilization package.
5. Color management: different departments generally use different colors of medical nonwovens, so that it is easy to distinguish and improve efficiency.
6. Grammage: generally 45 grams -60 grams, the weight of the lighter parcels can be used less grammage to save the use of cost.
7. The reason for the wet package and the solution: due to the hydrophobicity of the non-woven fabric, excess and heavy metal instruments in the high temperature disinfection, the formation of condensate in the cooling process, easy to produce wet packages. Therefore, in the large equipment bags padded with absorbent materials, properly reduce the loading of the sterilizer, sterilizing the bag to leave a gap between the bags, properly extend the drying time, as far as possible to avoid the generation of wet bags
