History
In 1996, KUKA Roboter GmbH became an independent company. on January 1, 1996, KUKA Schweissanlagen+Roboter GmbH (KUKA Welding Equipment and Robotics GmbH) was split into two companies operating independently in the market.
The new products of KUKA Schweissanlagen+Roboter GmbH were in the spotlight at the annual world technology market, the Hannover Fair. Controlled by a PC with a simple Windows-based operator interface - KUKA is once again setting new standards in robotics with practical new products. The highlight is the control and programming operator with an integrated 6-dimensional mouse.
On November 23, 2021, Germany's KUKA AG announced that it had received a request for a full takeover of its shares from China's Midea Group Corporation.
