National Economic Industry Classification Code Table Description This standard specifies the industry classification and code of economic activities in China. This standard applies in planning, statistics, finance, taxation, industrial and commercial administration and other national macro-management and sectoral management, industry classification of economic activities. Principles of classification of industries This standard adopts the principle of homogeneity of economic activities to divide the national economy industries. That is, each industry category is divided according to the nature of the same economic activity, rather than on the basis of compilation, accounting system or sectoral management. Sectors are represented by a single English letter, i.e. the letters A, B and C ...... are used to represent different sectors in turn. Large, medium and small categories are represented by three levels of four-digit Arabic numerals based on a hierarchical system and full decimal system. Large class code consists of the first two digits, the use of hierarchical coding and numerical order coding method, breaking the boundaries of categories, starting from 01 based on the order of the classification system of large categories in ascending order of the assigned code; in the class code consists of the first three digits, the third for the sequential code in the class; the small class code consists of four digits, the fourth for the sequential code for the small class.
