Puerh tea
Puerh tea is a certain region of Yunnan Province, Yunnan large-leafed species of sun green tea as raw materials, the use of a specific technology, the formation of post-fermentation processing of loose and tightly pressed tea. China's famous tea tree species, Yunnan Province, the general term for large-leaf tea tree varieties. It mainly includes Menghu big leaf variety (also known as big black tea), Fengqing big leaf variety and Menghai big leaf variety. Native to southwestern Yunnan Province and the southern Lancang River Basin, mainly distributed in the province Shuangjiang, Lancang, Menghai, Fengqing, Changning, Yunxian, Baoshan, Yuanjiang and other counties (cities).
The plant is arbor-type, with a tall crown and a natural growth of 5-6m, up to 20m or more. Tree posture semi-developed, partially developed or more upright, high branching parts, branching more sparse. Leaf blade belongs to extra-large leaf category, leaf length average 13cm, leaf width 5cm, the largest leaf surface up to 26.0×10.5cm2, leaf shape long elliptic, elliptic or nearly inverted lanceolate. Leaf blade is mostly horizontally attached, the tip of the leaf is acuminate, the color of the leaf is rich green, or yellow-green, glossy, the leaf surface is elevated or significantly elevated, the leaf flesh is thick and soft, the lateral veins are obvious, mostly more than 10 pairs, the edge of the leaf is dorsally rolled, the serration is deeper and still flush, and the buds and leaves are plump and strong. The velvet hairs are especially numerous. Leaf blade fenestrated tissue layer, fenestrated tissue and spongy tissue ratio of about 1:3. Early germination, long growing period, strong germination, 5-6 rounds of germination in 1 year, new shoots hold tenderness strong. Most of the flowers are solitary, partly clustered or pseudo-racemes, the short diameter of the corolla is 25mm, the long diameter is 45mm, the petals are 6-7 pieces, the calyx is 5 pieces. Cold resistance is weak, -5 ℃ below will suffer serious frost damage. Suitable for black tea. Tea polyphenols and catechins are abundant in the fresh leaves.
