The proportion of non-fossil energy installed capacity increases during the “13th Five-Year Plan”
As of the end of June 2021, the country's full-scale power generation installed capacity was 2.257 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%. During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the country's full-scale power generation installed capacity increased by an average annual rate of 7.6%, of which non-fossil energy installed capacity increased by an average annual rate of 13.0%, accounting for 34.8% of the total installed capacity by the end of 2020. 44.8%, an increase of 10 percentage points.
In 2020, the country's full-scale power generation capacity was 7.6 trillion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 4.0%; in the first half of 2021, the country's full-scale power generation capacity was 3.4 trillion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 17.7%. During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the country's full-scale power generation grew at an average annual rate of 5.8%, of which non-fossil energy power generation grew at an average annual rate of 10.6%, accounting for 33.9% of the total power generation from 27.2% in 2015. An increase of 6.7 percentage points.
Non-fossil energy investment grows rapidly
In 2020, major power companies included in the industry investment statistical system completed a total investment of 994.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%. China's power engineering construction investment in the first half of 2021 was 362.7 billion yuan.
From the perspective of investment in sub-sectors, the investment in power supply engineering construction in 2020 was 524.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%; the investment in power grid engineering construction was 469.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%, mainly because power grid companies completed the new national round one year ahead of schedule. Regarding the task of upgrading rural power grids, investment in power grids of 35 kV and below, which accounted for 44.3% of power grid investment, fell by 20.2% year-on-year.
