GH625 nickel-based high-temperature alloys
GH625 characteristics and applications Overview:
The alloy is a molybdenum and niobium as the main reinforcing element of the solid-solution reinforced nickel-based deformation of high-temperature alloys, with excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation performance, from low temperature to 980 ℃ have good tensile properties and fatigue properties, and resistance to stress corrosion in the salt spray atmosphere. Therefore, can be widely used in the manufacture of aircraft engine parts, aerospace structural components and chemical equipment.

Inconel 625's metallographic structure:
625 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure. When held at approximately 650°C for a sufficiently long period of time, carbon particles and unstable quaternary phases are precipitated and transformed into the stable Ni3(Nb,Ti) rhombohedral lattice phase. The molybdenum and niobium components of the solid solution strengthened Ni-Cr matrix will improve the mechanical properties of the material, but the plasticity will be reduced.
Corrosion resistance of Inconel 625
Alloy 625 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in many media. It has excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular corrosion and erosion in chloride media. Excellent resistance to inorganic acid corrosion such as nitric, phosphoric, sulfuric and hydrochloric acids, as well as alkali and organic acid corrosion in oxidizing and reducing environments. Effective resistance to chloride ion reductive stress corrosion cracking. Virtually no corrosion in seawater and industrial gas environments, high corrosion resistance to seawater and salt solutions, also at high temperatures. No sensitivity during welding. Resistant to carbonization and oxidation in either static or cyclic environments, and resistant to corrosion by gases containing chlorine.
Applications
Inconel 625 Application Areas Application Areas:
Soft annealed low carbon alloy 625 is widely used in the chemical process industry, where better corrosion resistance and high strength allow it to be used as a thin structural component. alloy 625 can be used in applications where it comes into contact with seawater and is subjected to high mechanical stresses. Typical applications:
1. Components for organic chemical processes containing chlorides, especially where acid chloride catalysts are used
2. Digesters and bleach tanks used in the pulp and paper industry
3. Absorption towers in flue gas desulphurization (FGD) systems, re-heaters, flue gas inlet baffles, fans (humid), stirrers, deflectors, and flue ducts.
4. Equipment and components for manufacturing applications in acid gas environments
5. Acetic acid and acetic anhydride reaction generators
6. Sulfuric acid condensers
