First revision of the Decision of the State Council on Revision of Partial Administrative Regulations on February 6, 2016 (only deleting the words "may apply for other formalities to the relevant departments" in Article 9 of the Regulations on the Administration of Medical Institutions), and the second revision of the Decision of the State Council on Revision and Abolition of Partial Administrative Regulations on March 29, 2022 Decision of the State Council on Amending and Abolishing Some Administrative Regulations" on March 29, 2022, was amended for the second time, and came into force on May 1, 2022.
Except for some medical institutions, other medical institutions no longer need the Certificate of Approval for Setting Up Medical Institutions.
In September 2020, the Decision of the State Council on Cancellation and Delegation of a Batch of Administrative License Matters put forward the cancellation of administrative license matters, including "issuance of the Certificate of Approval for Setting Up Medical Institutions for some medical institutions".

4, central health centers, township (town) health centers, street health centers.
5, nursing homes.
6, comprehensive outpatient clinics, specialized outpatient clinics, Chinese medicine outpatient clinics, combined Chinese and Western medicine outpatient clinics, ethnic medicine outpatient clinics.
7, clinics, Chinese medicine clinics, ethnomedicine clinics, health centers, infirmaries, health care centers, health stations.
8, village health center (office).
9, first aid center, first aid station.
10, clinical testing center.
11, Specialized Disease Control Hospital, Specialized Disease Control Institute, Specialized Disease Control Station.
12, nursing homes, nursing stations.
13, medical testing laboratories, pathology diagnostic center, medical imaging diagnostic center, hemodialysis center, hospice center.
