The library of Tilburg University, the Netherlands, has a collection of up to 800,000 volumes covering all areas of teaching and research at the university. The library has a capacity of 1,000 readers. The University Computer Center has 450 desktop computers and is responsible for the University's data communication network, central computer systems and software management. Tilburg University's data communication network is known as KUB-Web.

The University's Language Center offers language training in French, German, English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Arabic and Turkish. At the same time, the Language Center has a special self-study center in the library, where students can use audiovisual equipment and computers to improve their language skills.

The Sports Center has a variety of sports and recreational facilities where students can play more than 40 sports. A membership card for the sports center costs 55 euros and students receive a discount.

The Student Activity Center offers a wide range of extracurricular activities including lectures, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, theater and music performances. At the beginning of each academic year, the Student Activities Center also offers courses in photography, painting, music and dance.

The Dining Center offers a wide variety of food for students and is open all day.

The cafeteria offers a wide range of beverages and fast food and is a great place to take a break from studying.

There are two banks on campus where students can apply for credit cards.

Accommodation

Tilburg University arranges accommodation for international students through the Housing Association (WMB), and most of the halls of residence are close to the university and the city center. As Tilburg is a medium-sized city, most places are easily accessible by bicycle or bus***. In the student dormitories, each student has his or her own room, and the kitchen and bathroom are shared. The rooms have bedding, closets, bookshelves, desks and lamps, as well as cable TV and telephones, and some dormitories have washing machines. The kitchen has a dining table, chairs, refrigerator and simple cooking utensils. Rent (including utilities) is about 230-300 euros per month.

Experts say that students studying in the Netherlands are required to buy student insurance. This is one of the necessary conditions for obtaining temporary residence. The general international student insurance covers a wide range of things. Such as: medical emergencies, special damages, accidental damages, legal support and lost luggage.

After paying the insurance fee, each student receives an insurance card and an insurance application form from the insurance company. To apply for reimbursement, the student must fill out the application form, stating the time and reason for the incident, and send a payment slip for the medical treatment or the appropriate documents. Soon after, the insurance company will transfer the amount of your application to your bank account.

The type of insurance that is now most accepted by the universities is the IPS (International Passport for Students) from ACE Europe. It pays a monthly premium of around €36.50.
