Nanjing Gulou Hospital, also known as Nanjing University School of Medicine Affiliated Gulou Hospital, is a set of medical treatment, teaching, scientific research as one of the integrated large-scale comprehensive third-class A-class hospital. The predecessor was founded in 1892 by a Canadian missionary funded by the Church of Christ in the United States, William Edward Gulou Hospital. Dr. William Edward McLean, M.D., a Canadian missionary sponsored by the Church of Christ in America. Macklin, M.D. (William E. Macklin, Chinese transliteration "Malin") founded a "Christian hospital", Malin was the first president, also known as the "Malin Hospital". The first president of the hospital, Marlin, is also known as "Marlin Hospital".
