Care for people living with HIV and patients includes many aspects. They are summarized as: counseling services, medical services, prevention and intervention measures, spiritual and psychological support, respect for the legitimate rights and interests of infected and affected persons, and reduction of discrimination.
Of course, care is not limited to these aspects.
The fact that each country is different, that there are regional differences within the same country, and that different infected persons and patients have different needs, all of these determine that care should be tailored to the local context and should be centered on the infected person and the patient.
