(1) Characteristics of compulsory verification 1) Compulsory verification is enforced by the metrological administrative department of the government. Units and individuals that use compulsory verification measuring instruments must apply for verification in accordance with regulations.
2) Compulsory verification shall be conducted by legal metrological verification institutions or authorized metrological verification institutions designated by government metrological administrative departments.
3) The verification period of compulsory verification shall be determined by the technical institution implementing compulsory verification according to the metrological verification regulations.
4) The range of measuring instruments for compulsory verification includes: public standard measuring instruments; The highest measurement standards used by various departments, enterprises and institutions; Working measuring instruments listed in the compulsory verification catalogue of measuring instruments such as trade settlement, safety protection, medical and health care and environmental monitoring.
5) Compulsory verification is a fixed verification relationship, with fixed-point inspection and fixed-point periodic verification, and users have no choice.
(2) The construction enterprise shall apply for periodic verification to the metrological verification institution designated by the metrological administrative department of the local county (city) level people's government when using the measuring instruments subject to compulsory verification. If it cannot be verified locally, it shall apply to the metrological verification institution designated by the metrological administrative department of the people's government at the next higher level for periodic verification.
