Including tools of production and life, such as kitchen knives, fruit knives, table knives, craft knives, scalpels, scissors, sickles, show tools, swords, javelins, antiques or travel souvenirs, iron spikes, axes, short rods, lead hammers and so on. Such tools shall be carried as checked baggage and shall not be carried in the cabin.

Items that require Air China's permission to transport:

1. Dry ice, liquid beverages, liquid cosmetics and daily necessities

Can be transported either as checked baggage or carry-on baggage in the passenger cabin. Dry ice should be refrigerated at low temperatures and the total weight of dry ice per passenger should not exceed 2.5 kilograms (5 pounds). According to CAAC regulations, each passenger is not allowed to bring more than two bottles (each bottle should not exceed 500 ml) of carbonated beverages, mineral water, tea, milk, yogurt, fruit juices, etc. Passengers may purchase beverages while going through airport security or in compliance with the restrictions. Passengers are not allowed to carry alcoholic beverages other than those purchased at the airport after security check. Each passenger may carry two bottles of alcoholic beverages of less than 1 kilogram, with a total volume not exceeding 1,000 milliliters.

2. Passengers are allowed to carry bottles of collar cleaner, mousse, whitening agent, insecticide and air freshener under 350 ml. The volume of perfume carried should be less than 500 ml. Passengers are not allowed to carry any similar items with a volume of more than 1,000 milliliters or a weight of more than 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds).

3. Folding or electronic wheelchairs used by passengers during the journey

Electric and electronic wheelchairs are checked as checked baggage. Both are free checked baggage and are not counted in the free checked baggage allowance. If a passenger needs to use a wheelchair during the check-in process, the wheelchair will be handed over at the gate when the passenger boards the plane, with Air China's permission.

4. Small Animals

Small animals (pet cats or dogs only) may not be carried directly into the passenger cabin and must be transported in the cargo hold as checked baggage. Passengers who need to check in small animals, please contact us in advance, and they can be transported only after arrangement.

5. Sharp and Blunt Weapons

Air China limits the maximum size and/or weight of baggage that can be carried in the cabin to the following:

1. Each First Class and Business Class passenger is allowed to carry two carry-on items, with the weight of each item not to exceed 8 kilograms (17 pounds);

2. Each Economy Class passenger is allowed to bring one carry-on item, and the weight of each item shall not exceed 5 kg (11 lbs).

3. Each carry-on item must not exceed 55 centimeters (22 inches), 40 centimeters (16 inches), and 20 centimeters (8 inches) in length, width, and height, respectively, and is guaranteed to fit in the enclosed luggage rack above the cabin of the aircraft or under your front seat.

4. If it cannot be placed in the above manner, or due to overweight and oversize, or for security reasons, it should be transported as checked baggage.
