In other words, the same IP address has different masks, and the IP address in the network segment may be different. A gateway is any other available IP address in the same subnet as your IP address, but it is usually the first or last address of a tunnel segment used as a gateway. The address of the gateway is configured on the router or other three-layer devices.
Its function is to realize the correct interconnection between different network segments in the network, which can generally be understood as accessing the Internet through a gateway.
Set the IP address, subnet mask and gateway as follows:
1. Open the Network and * * * Enjoy Center and find the connected network. Take the local connection as an example, and click the "Local connection" option.
2. After entering the local connection option, find the property option.
3. Select and open the properties option to enter the local connection.
4. Find Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/ipv4) in the "Properties" option.
5. Double-click "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" to enter the option of modifying IP address, subnet mask and gateway.
