Getting hospitals to reduce or waive medical fees is not that simple a statement. As a matter of fact, many hospitals do reduce or waive patients' medical fees, though only a few small amounts. Because hospitals can't operate without money either, and they have to feed a whole bunch of people, they can't bail out a lot of other people for free.
Healthcare costs can only be afforded by our country and government. However, our country was not founded very long ago (only a few decades), and there are still a lot of areas that need money, such as infrastructure, investment in education, and so on. At this stage, the state is already covering some of the healthcare costs. This is considered a great progress. We can only hope that our country's economy is growing at a high rate and that it will be able to cover the full cost of healthcare for everyone in the near future.
At that time, the problem of healthcare costs will really be solved.
